Julie Ann Michael Carr AKA "Jamie" or "Jewels, let go after two years of battling with cancer. Born in Gouverneur, NY, Julie was the daughter of Julian Michael and Dorothy Mayville (Both Deceased). The family resided in Watertown, NY.
She is survived by her devoted husband and soul mate, Richard K. Carr; loving children, Jason and Jamie Decter; Dan, Gregory, Bradford (Deceased), and Christina Carr; brothers John and Roger Michael; sisters Kathy Michael, Char Simmons, Sue Washburn and so many more; Seven grandchildren; she was loved by all family and anyone she touched. She will be deeply missed by her devoted companion "Boo-Boo." Julie graduated from Watertown High School, class of 1969, she then continued with a nursing degree from Jefferson Community College. Later, she achieved a 4.0 from Palm Beach Atlantic College with a degree in Business, and most recently a degree in Legal Nurse Consulting.
Julie will be remembered as a personal and professional nurse; a strong willed, generous healer, who devoted herself to just cause and protecting her family. Her extraordinary soul touched the lives of so many; her zest for life was contagious.
She was a daughter, sister, mother, wife, grandmother, and friend, exemplifying each role to her fullest and most exquisite capacity.
She will be missed, her memory cherished, until we all meet again.
Julie's memorial and celebration of her life will start on her birthday, July 03, 2009 at 3:00 pm, at the Lighthouse Point First Presbyterian Church.
