WEST CARTHAGE — Patricia R. Burdick-Curran, 49, 33 North Broad St., died Monday morning at the Carthage Area Hospital, where she had been a patient for a short time.

Born in Carthage on September 19th, 1959, the daughter of Elmer and Margaret Buchal Burdick, she graduated from Carthage Central High School. She attended SUNY Delhi for Animal Husbandry. She was a farmer, who also was self employed in the horse supplies business. She also trained and showed horses. She was active in the Jefferson County 4-H and was a former associate director of the Jefferson County Fair. She married her longtime companion, Michael Curran in 1996.

She is survived by her husband, Mike, her mother, Margaret and her sister, Peggy Burdick, all of Carthage.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home, Inc., 500 State St., Carthage. Burial will be in West Carthage Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
