Wizards, down to last out, score two for victory

LITTLE FALLS — Nate Shaver tripled to right center to bring home the tying run with two outs in the ninth, then scored on a Ben Flanary single to complete the Watertown Wizards' comeback in a 2-1 New York Collegiate Baseball League victory over Mohawk Valley on Wednesday night at Veterans Park.

Jake Quigg tossed eight innings for Mohawk Valley, holding Watertown to no runs on two hits until Watertown rallied in the ninth.

Ben Marshall pitched two hitless innings to pick up the win for Watertown.

The Wizards (10-7) will be on the road again today as they travel to Glens Falls for a 7 p.m. game.
