Democrats in Gouverneur schedule caucus for July 20

GOUVERNEUR — Democrats will caucus at 7 p.m. July 20 in the municipal building to ensure that Town Clerk Joan M. Hall is on the ballot and to nominate candidates for town and village races.

William C. Foster will serve as the one-time chairman of the caucus, but a Democratic committee is still being organized.

Mr. Foster said he had heard of no candidates so far interested in running on the Democratic ticket.

Available seats are for mayor and two trustee positions, town supervisor and two council seats, and town justice.
