Man accused of having

weapon in his luggage

DEXTER — A Fort Drum man faces a charge that he had a weapon in his luggage at Watertown International Airport.

Chester B. Thomas Jr., 27, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies about 1 p.m. Sunday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. It is alleged that during a routine check of luggage at the facility, 2529 Airport Drive, a set of chukka sticks was found in his suitcase. He is to appear in Hounsfield Town Court.

Ogdensburg man is cited

with stealing from house

CANTON — An Ogdensburg man is accused of stealing a large television, a watch, a video game system and about 20 video games May 10 from a Rice Road home.

Caleb L. Rayburn, 21, was charged Monday with second-degree burglary, a state police investigator said. He will be arraigned in Potsdam Town Court in the coming weeks. He is being held at St. Lawrence County jail on a parole violation, police said.

LeRay woman accused

of making knife threats

A town of LeRay woman faces charges that she threatened her husband with knives during a domestic dispute.

Patricia A. Kucharski, 50, of 22260 Riverbend Drive, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies Monday with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.

It is alleged that she threatened Julian D. Kucharski with three kitchen knives while pinning him down on a couch during a domestic incident Saturday at their home. She also allegedly threw a coffee table at her husband.

She was arraigned in LeRay Town Court by Justice George E. Mead III and released on her own recognizance to return to the same court at a later date.
