Doris L. Benson

CARTHAGE — Doris (Dooley) Lucy Benson passed away early Monday morning June 15th 2009 in Long Lake. She was born on August 19, 1924 in Carthage. She was the last surviving child of eleven, her late parents were Clark Lavern Benson and Goldie Cottet Benson.

Left to celebrate her memory are her only daughter Donna McDonald, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. Doris had been under the constant care of her daughter Donna for several years, after suffering from several strokes and memory loss. She had a full life and several great careers during her lifetime. She retired to Zephyrhills, FL, then continued to work until she was 74. She was a family oriented and fun loving person. Everyone she met came away a better person and will be dearly missed.
