M.M. McPherson

OGDENSBURG — A Funeral Mass for Mildred M. McPherson, 89 a resident of the Adirondack Medical Center Mercy Care Facility in Tupper Lake and formerly of Parkview Rise in Ogdensburg will be held on Monday (July 6, 2009) at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Cathedral with Rev. Terry R. LaValley officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Fox-McLellan Funeral Home. Mrs. McPherson passed away on Wednesday (July 1, 2009) at the Mercy Care Facility in Tupper Lake.

Surviving is a son Donald McPherson of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter Donna Burrows & her companion Jim Miner of Tupper Lake; a brother Leon Montroy of Heuvelton; Three grandchildren Kelly Carson of Portland, OR, Kristi Barton of Tupper Lake, Jennifer McPherson of Ogdensburg; great-grandchildren Chelsea Lago, Aaron Vincelette, Collin McPherson, Ashley, Jordan & Emily McPherson and Brayden Shannon along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1984, four sisters Deloris Gass, Irene Burns, Genevieve Griffith & Dorothy Bordine and four brothers Albert, Walter, Oscar & Raymond Montroy.

Mrs. McPherson was born on July 23, 1919 in Watertown, NY a daughter of the late Leo & Lena (Seguin) Montroy. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and married Donald McPherson in 1942 at St. Mary's Cathedral. She worked as a punch press operator at Cleveland Container, a salesperson at the Puritan Clothing Store and the Rath Bakery in Ogdensburg during her working career.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, cooking, puzzles, dancing and spending time with her family.
