Six H1N1 cases confirmed in Jefferson County kids

The Jefferson County Public Health Service reported six new confirmed cases of H1N1 influenza Thursday morning. The cases included five children, and one adult who have fully recovered. None of the recent cases were hospitalized.

The total number of confirmed swine flu cases in Jefferson County is now 38, including 32 children and six adults.

Since H1N1 surveillance began April 27, 186 patients have been screened for the virus.
