Shirley M. Swain, 83, Deer River

DEER RIVER — Shirley M. Swain, 83, of 10617 County Route 12, Station Road, died early Friday morning, July 3, 2009 at home under the care of her family and Lewis County Hospice, where she had been ill for the past year.

She is predeceased by a son Donald Swain, who died in 2002.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 from 6 – 8 PM at the Bossuot-Lundy Funeral Home Inc. 500 State St., Carthage. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Funeral Home with the Rev, Andrew R. Mulvaney, Pastor of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Black River, officiating. Burial will follow in Swinburne Cemetery, Deer River.
