This year, there are exhibits at all the museums in the village of Clayton relating to the history of what was made in Clayton. From boats to bathing suits with a few tents and snowplows, cheese factories on Grindstone Island. It's only a short day trip from anywhere in Jefferson County to come and visit Clayton to see and enjoy the history of this quaint St. Lawrence River village and see what was once a booming and prosperous village.

Unfortunately, there is not much left that's made in Clayton. I can remember when my father and twin brother Dave worked at Frink's Snow Plow. What's the industry left in Clayton now? It's aluminum boats by RJ Marine, Coyote Moon Winery and Frontenac Crystal Springs Water Co. Ridge Line Industries still is making tents for private and our federal government. Sorry, that's all folks.
