Sackets Jazz Fest canceled; organizer cites economy

SACKETS HARBOR — The ninth annual Sackets Harbor Jazz Festival scheduled for Aug. 8 has been canceled, Festival Coordinator John H. Cleveland III said last week. He said the poor economy was to blame.
Mr. Cleveland thanked the festival's supporters and expressed hope that the festival can return next summer.
