The following north country residents recently were named to the dean's list at their colleges or universities:

American University,

Washington, D.C.

To receive dean's list honors at American University for the spring semester, students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Dexter

Carrie Pfaff, senior, international studies

Buffalo State College

To receive dean's list honors at Buffalo State College for the spring semester, students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.5, complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of letter grade work and take all courses at Buffalo State.

Watertown

Brianna L. Marrin, Watertown, dietetics and nutrition. Miss Marrin, daughter of Randall S. and Julie E. Marrin, was honored April 16 at the college honors convocation.

Champlain College,

Burlington, Vt.

To receive dean's list honors at Champlain College for 2009, students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

To receive dean's list honors at College at Brockport for the spring semester, students must complete a minimum of six credits in letter graded classes and receive a grade point average of 3.40 to 3.69.

To received dean's list honors at College of Saint Rose for the spring semester, students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours, achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher and not have grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail.
