Police cite several with drunken driving

The following people were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Heather M. Plante, 3287 Ward Road, Mannsville, was charged by Watertown police with aggravated DWI at 3:43 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Mechanic Street.

Police said her blood alcohol content was 0.20 percent, which is above the state's minimum level of 0.18 percent to warrant a charge of aggravated DWI. A BAC of 0.08 percent is the minimum level to warrant a DWI charge.

She also was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

■ Christopher A. Gracey, 25, of 403 E. Grove St., Dexter, was charged by Watertown police at 2:43 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of Eddy Street. Police said his BAC was 0.16 percent. He also was charged with speeding, failure to signal, making an improper right turn, consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and unlawfully dealing with fireworks.

■ John C. Trombley, 29, Potsdam, was charged Thursday with felony DWI, failure to keep right and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation following a one-car accident on County Route 34 in Potsdam, state police said. His BAC was 0.17 percent, police said. The felony count indicates a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years.

■ Adam D. Norman, 24, Potsdam, was charged Friday with aggravated DWI and passing a red light when stopped on Market Street in Potsdam, village police said. He registered a 0.23 percent BAC, police said.

■ Whitney N. Bohling, 21, of 21 Buchanan St., Sandy Creek, also was charged by Watertown police at 2:17 a.m. Thursday with failure to keep right in the 400 block of Thompson Boulevard. Police said her BAC was found to be 0.09 percent.

■ Meredith I. Reeder, 22, of 89 Elm St., Potsdam, also was charged Wednesday with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and three other traffic infractions when stopped on Main Street in Potsdam, state police said. She registered a 0.10 percent BAC, police said. She also reportedly had three suspensions on her driver's license.

■ Lindsay B. Mochol, 25, Wayland, Steuben County, was charged by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies with aggravated DWI at 2:46 a.m. Sunday on Route 12F in the town of Hounsfield. She also was charged with failure to keep right.

■ Deborah N. Champagne, 39, of 89 McKabe Road, Colton, was charged Thursday when she was stopped on Route 56 in Colton, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. She registered a 0.15 percent BAC, police said.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

■ Jonathan M. Belden, 24, of 802 Franklin St., Apt. 3, was charged by Watertown police at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday. The charge stemmed from a traffic stop in the 400 block of Coffeen Street.

■ Clark Willard, 47, East Road, DePeyster, also was charged Thursday with failure to keep right stemming from a July 16 car accident on East Road in DePeyster, state police said.
