Ten arrested on drug counts in long-term sweep

MALONE — State police, the Franklin County Narcotics/Border Task Force, Malone village police and the Franklin County district attorney's office concluded a long-term drug sales investigation Wednesday with the arrest of 10 people.

The following were arrested relating to the sale of controlled substances, including prescription narcotics and marijuana:

■ Corey L. Russell, 30, Dickinson Center, charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of marijuana. He was arraigned in Dickinson Town Court and ordered held in Franklin County jail on $5,000 bail.

■ Ronald A. LaCroix, 49, Constable, charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arrested on a Franklin County Court warrant and taken to jail without bail.

■ Tammy Wells, 34, St. Regis Falls, charged with third-, fourth- and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. She was arraigned in Dickinson Town Court and ordered held in jail on $5,000 bail.

■ Timothy J. Rhoades, 41, Constable, charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Malone Town Court and ordered held on $2,500 bail.

■ Brian L. Waite, 41, Malone, charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of marijuana. He was arraigned in Malone Town Court and ordered held on $5,000 bail.

■ Carol Van Woert, 46, Malone, charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and diversion of prescription medication. She was arraigned in Malone Village Court and ordered held on $3,000 bail.

■ Keith Hyde, 21, Chateaugay, charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Malone Village Court and ordered held on $5,000 bail.

■ James Lord, 21, Malone, charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Malone Village Court and ordered held on $5,000 bail.

■ Patience Larocque, 18, Malone, charged with two counts of fourth- and one count of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. She was arraigned in Malone Village Court and ordered held on $5,000 bail.

■ Chad Lamica, 25, Malone, charged with fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana. He was arraigned in Malone Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
