The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Jason E. Houghton, 22, Lowville, was charged with aggravated DWI after being stopped by state police at 1:45 a.m. Thursday on Route 812, Croghan. Troopers could not provide a blood alcohol content when asked Thursday afternoon, but a reading of 0.18 percent or more is necessary for a charge of aggravated DWI. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication.

■ Raymond J. Nuijens, 21, Calcium, was stopped by state police at 1 a.m. Thursday on Route 342, Pamelia. Troopers could not provide a BAC when asked Thursday afternoon. He also was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment, but no details were available on those alleged crimes.
