New Miss T.I. to be chosen on Saturday

The 2010 Miss Thousand Islands Pageant will celebrate its 45th year as an official preliminary to the Miss America competition kicking off the 2010 Miss Thousand Islands Pageant at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Clayton Opera House, 405 Riverside Drive.

This year's theme is "45 and Fabulous!" Former contestants, as well as former Miss Thousand Islands crown winners, will join in the event as women from upstate New York compete for this year's title. The winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship and trip to compete in the Miss New York State 2010 Pageant in Albany next summer.

Tickets to see the pageant are $10 and there will be a 50-50 drawing and raffles throughout the evening.

The pageant is hosted by Brian Sweeney, a physical therapist at Fort Drum, and Ann Walck Iannotta, Miss Thousand Islands 2005 and 2007.
