David R. Olson

HERMON — David R. Olson, 48, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at his home.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are with Green Funeral Home, Hermon.

David was born October 29, 1960 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of John and Ann Safford Olson.

He graduated from Shelton High School, CT and received a psychology degree from Fairfield University. He also attended Paul Smiths College and Yale University.

David married Holly Pison on June 15, 1996. The couple has lived in Hermon the past thirteen years on Bird's Eye Farm where they produced maple syrup. David was a member of the New York and Connecticut Maple Syrup Producer Associations. He also enjoyed woodworking.

David is survived by his wife Holly, two sons Daniel Pinto of Brooklyn and Lawrence Pinto of Italy where he is serving in the U.S. Army, his mother Ann Olson of Shelton, CT, a brother-in-law Scott Taylor and three nieces Becky, Judy, and Carolyn Taylor, all of Connecticut. He is predeceased by his father and a sister Katy Taylor.
