Police charge several people in NNY with drunken driving

BUSY WEEKEND: Suspects face other charges, some after accidents

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Joseph P. Egan, 20, Malone, was charged Friday with aggravated DWI, passing a red light, driving while using a cell phone, using another person's license and making an improper right turn when stopped on Pierrepont Avenue in Potsdam, village police said. He registered a 0.24 percent blood alcohol content, police said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Sean M.P. Cudal, 27, of 983 LeRay St., Apt. 1B, Watertown, also was charged with leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, unsafe backing and refusal to submit to a breath test, according to Watertown police. He was stopped in the 300 block of High Street at 12:05 a.m. Friday following a minor accident in the parking lot of a State Street tavern, police said.

■ Dale R. Chapman, 41, Westford, Vt., also was charged Thursday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, having an open container and a traffic infraction when stopped on Route 122 in the town of Constable, state police said. His test result was listed as 0.09 percent BAC.

■ Rebecca L. Guyette, 36, Parishville, was charged Thursday with aggravated DWI, drinking alcohol in a car and having no taillights when she was stopped on Route 72 in the town of Parishville, state police said. She registered a 0.21 percent BAC, police said.

■ Megan L. Hogle, 24, Potsdam, also was charged Friday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle when stopped on Constitution Street in Potsdam, village police said. She registered a 0.15 percent BAC, police said.

■ Lewis A. Patterelli, 22, Ogdensburg, also was charged Friday with failure to keep right and two other traffic infractions when stopped on Route 37 in Ogdensburg, state police said. He registered a 0.17 percent BAC, police said.

■ Michael J. Callahan, 34, Sandy Creek, was charged on County Route 15 in the town of Sandy Creek at 2:20 a.m. Friday, according to state police. He tested at 0.13 percent BAC, troopers said.

■ Lavar K. Parker, 28, Fort Drum, was arrested by state police at 3:25 a.m. Friday on Route 342 in the town of LeRay. Police listed his blood alcohol content at 0.12 percent.

■ Michael C. Linhardt, 37, West Seneca, was stopped by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 1:42 a.m. Saturday on James Street in the village of Alexandria Bay. His BAC was 0.13 percent, police said. He additionally was cited with failing to signal a turn.

■ Raymond L. Weiss, 58, Binghamton, was stopped at 9:30 p.m. Friday during a state police checkpoint held on Route 12 in the town of Alexandria. His BAC was 0.10 percent, police said.

■ Timothy M. Augustus, 23, of 324A Quaker Ave., Philadelphia, was stopped at 10:18 p.m. Friday during the same checkpoint. His BAC was 0.08 percent, troopers said.

■ Terrance A. Hickey, 66, Hilton, was cited at 10:25 p.m. during the checkpoint. His BAC was 0.10 percent, troopers said.

■ Matt L. Hagler, 26, Watertown, was stopped by state police at 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Route 11 in the town of Watertown. His BAC was not provided by police. He additionally was charged with failure to keep right.

■ Eric R. Pickel, 25, Croghan, was stopped by state police at 11:23 p.m. Friday on Swiss Road in the town of Croghan. Police didn't make his BAC available.

■ John A. Raymon, 39, Heuvelton, was charged by state police with felony DWI at 4:25 a.m. Saturday after a traffic stop on DeKalb-Kelly Road in the town of Oswegatchie. His BAC was 0.10 percent, police said. Mr. Raymon was convicted of DWI, also in the town of Oswegatchie, in October 2007, resulting in his felony charge.

■ Gabrielle J. Sobek, 19, of 20868 Sobek Drive, Carthage, was stopped by Watertown police at 4:37 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Sherman Street. She also was charged with driving while her ability was impaired by drugs. Police said she admitted to using marijuana earlier in the day. Her BAC was not available.

■ Mark F. Zimmer, 42, Watertown, was stopped Saturday afternoon by state police on Ridge Road in the town of Watertown. He was charged with felony DWI and two counts of drinking alcohol in his vehicle. Mr. Zimmer has a previous DWI conviction from July 2001, when he was stopped in Thompson Park by city police.

■ Andrew J. Chartrand, 23, Croghan, was pulled over by state police at 2:40 a.m. Sunday on Route 812 in the town of New Bremen. He was charged with aggravated DWI; police did not make his BAC available Sunday night.

■ David A. Tynon, 57, of 34 Pine St., Ogdensburg, was charged with aggravated DWI by state police at 5 p.m. Saturday on Lake Street in the city. Troopers said his BAC was 0.27 percent. He also was charged with running a stoplight at the corner of New York Avenue and Route 37 in Ogdensburg.

■ Brendan J. Leach, 20, of Niskayuna, also was charged by Potsdam village police with possessing someone else's driver's license at 3:21 a.m. Sunday. Police said they found Mr. Leach passed out in the driver's seat of his car on the Clarkson University campus. His BAC was 0.13 percent, police said.

■ Michael J. Love, 40, Parishville, also was charged with speeding by Potsdam village police after a traffic stop at 10:56 p.m. Saturday on Market Street. He had a BAC of 0.11 percent, police said.
