Richville woman files suit over fall at courthouse

CANTON — A Richville woman who fell down the steps of the St. Lawrence County Courthouse has filed a lawsuit against the county.

According to documents filed Tuesday in state Supreme Court, Evelyn Fiefield was leaving the courthouse at 48 Main St. on June 11 when she fell on a narrow step. She suffered injuries to her back and knees in the fall, the lawsuit states.

She is represented by the Malone law firm Poissant, Nichols, Grue & Vanier.
