DWI, other charges lodged

The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Scott M. Sharpes, 19, of 36 West Road, Apt. 2, Heuvelton, was charged Saturday with aggravated DWI when he was stopped on Route 812 in the town of Oswegatchie, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. His blood alcohol content was 0.18 percent, deputies said. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ Michelle L. Shampine, 37, of 515 Sylvia Lake Road, Gouverneur, was charged Saturday when she was stopped on Country Club Road in the town of Fowler, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. His blood alcohol content was 0.12 percent, deputies said.

■ Anthony J. Laughing, 37, Hogansburg, also was charged Saturday with three traffic infractions when he was stopped on Route 37 in the town of Massena, state police said. He registered a 0.13 percent BAC, police said.

■ Thomas Hahn, 22, Carthage, was charged by state police at 2:20 a.m. Saturday on Route 3 in the town of Wilna. His BAC was 0.16 percent, troopers said.

Charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs:

■ Pamela L. Tyo, 52, North Lawrence, also was charged Friday with unlawful possession of marijuana when she was stopped on Eisenhower Lock Road in the town of Massena, state police said.
