The Jefferson County Republican Party elected new leadership at a meeting of committeemen and women Thursday.

In a unanimous vote, Don Coon was elected president, Brian Peck was picked as vice president and Jim Fitzpatrick was selected secretary/treasurer.

Mr. Coon, Watertown, replaces Sandy Corey in the chair position. Mr. Peck, Carthage, replaces Mr. Fitzpatrick, Watertown, as vice president. Mr. Fitzpatrick replaces Don Gladle, Watertown, as secretary/treasurer.

Congratulations to all three men. I like all of them and I think they'll continue to represent the party well.
