Lost amidst all the talk about television ads Thursday was the unveiling of "Special," a new Web-only ad by Dede Scozzafava, the Republican candidate in the 23rd Congressional District.

The tone and look of the 30-second spot is very similar to the assemblywoman's previous Web ad, "Principled," even down to the same folksy narrator.

Dave Catalfamo told the NY Daily News that "Principled" was the first in the series of three produced by Lions and Eagles. So there's one more after "Special."

Reed Dawson Murano, the cinematographer of the indie film "Frozen River," served as director of photography on these ads, according to Mr. Catalfamo and the NYDN.

Here's the transcript:

“When people in Washington talk about special interests, ever wonder what's so special about 'em? Well, when they call for a special election, should we really expect anything special? The answer is yes.”
