Gary W. Simmons

Gary W. Simmons, 39 of High Street, formerly of Theresa died Friday at SUNY Upstate Hospital, Syracuse where he was admitted that day.

Born April 3, 1970 in Watertown, he was the son of Charles and Kathryn Clark Simmons and attended Indian River High School.

He was employed by Indian River Central School, Philadelphia as a bus driver and Arby's Restaurant, Watertown.

He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and getting together with his family.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Brian and Vivian Simmons, Philadelphia; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Barbara and Tony Hartl, Theresa, Betty and James Brodt, Jr., Natural Bridge and Karen Smith and her companion, Wayne Davis, Philadelphia; two aunts and an uncle, Lillian Martin, Antwerp and Marion and Fred Whispell, Theresa; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be 11 am Wednesday at Frederick Bros.. Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa with Pastor Barry Proctor of Indian River Baptist Church, Philadelphia officiating. Burial will be at Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville.

A calling hour will be 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral.
