Massena man is charged

over theft of televisions

MASSENA — Justin R. Brothers, 20, of 63 Chase St., was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny by village police at 4:58 p.m. Friday.

Police said he took two flat-screen televisions from a residence on Malby Avenue on Aug. 22. Mr. Brothers was being held in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on earlier burglary charges when he was charged over the Aug. 22 incident.

He was arraigned in Village Court and released under supervision of probation under the recommendation of the district attorney's office. He is to face the charges in County Court.

Pair charged with failing

to submit new addresses

OGDENSBURG — Two convicted sex offenders were accused of failing to notify authorities about changing their addresses.

Steven L. Hodge, 44, of 5375 Route 68, and Audie Middlemiss, 47, of 7 Terrace Park Road, Morristown, both were charged Thursday with failure to report a change address as a registered sex offender, a felony, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said.

Mr. Hodge was issued an appearance ticket for Lisbon Town Court and Mr. Middlemiss was given an appearance ticket for Morristown Town Court.

Charges man must answer

include burglary, assault

MASSENA — Tylor J. Eldridge, 19, of 80 Chase St., was charged by village police at 2:01 p.m. Friday with first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Police said Mr. Eldridge went to 33 Park Ave. Friday afternoon and threatened an occupant with a weapon, injured a person during an altercation and damaged property there.

He was arraigned in Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $50,000 bail. He is to answer the charges in Town Court.

Police: Ogdensburg man

had light without OK

CANTON — An Ogdensburg man is accused of having an emergency light without permission from authorities.

Jeffrey P. Measheaw, 46, of 1014 S. Water St., was charged Thursday with displaying a green light with no written authorization from and no affiliation with any emergency services department and having a police scanner on a dashboard, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. He was issued appearance tickets for Oct. 20 in Village Court.

Ogdensburg pair accused

of stealing from Sears

A man and woman from Ogdensburg were charged Thursday night in an alleged $185.20 shoplifting incident at Sears, Salmon Run Mall, according to state police.

Roderick J. Brown, 28, and Christine M. Borasky, 23, face prosecution in town of Watertown Court on petit larceny charges. Police said they remain under investigation in another incident, alleged to have occurred at J.C. Penney.

Theresa woman charged

with mischief, harassment

THERESA — Ashley S. Jervis, 23, of 204 Commercial St. Apt. 2, was charged by state police over a disturbance that occurred around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers said she and her neighbor, Natashia T. Burkhart, 204 Commercial St. Apt. 3, had a dispute over a damaged sign.

Ms. Jervis was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 11:20 a.m. Friday at 64 Main St., Philadelphia. She is to face the charges in Theresa Town Court.

Gouverneur teen charged

with second-degree rape

GOUVERNEUR — Jeffrey J. Cole, 18, of 89 Hailesboro St., was charged by village police at 4 p.m. Friday with second-degree rape.

Police said he is accused of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 15 on Aug. 11.

He was arraigned in Town Court and released under the supervision of probation. He is to answer the charges in Town Court.

Deputies probing theft

of an all-terrain vehicle

LISBON — St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies are searching for a stolen all-terrain vehicle taken from 472 Cold Springs Road overnight Thursday.

The thieves broke into a fenced-in area owned by St. Lawrence Gas and stole a 2008 Polaris Sportsman, deputies said.

Anyone with information can call the Sheriff's Department at 379-2222.

Gouverneur man faces

charges over argument

GOUVERNEUR — Joshua R. Daniels, 27, of 52 Sterling St., was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief when he allegedly punched a hole in a wall during an Aug. 13 argument, village police said.

He was arraigned in Town Court and released on his own recognizance.

Pair accused of beating

man in tavern parking lot

MALONE — Two men were jailed early Sunday after allegedly beating a person with beer bottles in the parking lot of a Route 11B tavern.

State police charged Joshua P. Donais, 26, of 1109 County Route 25, Whippleville, with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Christopher J. Silva, 28, of 525 Morton St., was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Both were arraigned in Town Court. Mr. Donais was sent to Franklin County jail on $15,000 bail or $30,000 bond. Bail for Mr. Silva was set at $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

Troopers did not identify the victim of the alleged assault, but said he suffered several cuts and was treated at Alice Hyde Medical Center.

Tupper Lake man accused

of reckless endangerment

TUPPER LAKE — Travis J. LaBarge, 27, East Rounds Street, was charged Saturday evening with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of reckless endangerment and two counts of second-degree harassment.

Village police said Mr. LaBarge was charged following a domestic incident at his home. Further details were not available.

Police said he was arraigned in Village Court and released on his own recognizance.

Man accused of throwing,

breaking woman's phone

William S. Pacheco, 19, of 1708 Ohio St., Apt. 94, was arrested by Watertown police after he was accused of breaking a woman's cellular phone around 11:13 Saturday evening.

Police said Mr. Pacheco hit the hand of Traci E. Blair, 14038 Military Road, Sackets Harbor, knocking her Blackberry out of her hand, then threw the phone into the street, breaking it.

Mr. Pacheco was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment Sunday morning in Watertown Town Court.

Two-car accident in Adams

sends two to the hospital

ADAMS — Two people were treated at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, after an accident at 7:11 p.m. Friday outside Dollar General, Route 11.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies said Brittany Kuszio, 18, of 12544 School St., Rodman, was turning left out of the store's parking lot onto Route 11 when the vehicle she was driving was hit by a vehicle driven by Marissa Bradley, 16, of 17272 Route 11, Watertown.

Miss Kuszio told deputies she didn't see Miss Bradley's car because its headlights were off. Miss Baker said she turned them off after the accident.

Miss Kuszio was ticketed with failure to yield the right of way and Miss Bradley was ticketed with driving without headlights.

Miss Kuszio's passenger, Aaron A. Baker, 18, of 27 Wardwell St., was taken by ambulance to the hospital with complaints of lower leg pain. Miss Bradley also went to the hospital; both were treated and released.

Watertown man indicted

on charges over heroin

A Watertown man faces charges that he had and sold heroin.

Corey L. Peer, 20, of 515 Plum Ave., faces two counts each of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The charges were contained in a grand jury indictment unsealed Friday in Jefferson County Court. It is alleged that he had and sold the drug twice in July.

He pleaded not guilty at arraignment and was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $15,000 bail.

Lowville woman charged

with assault, trespassing

LOWVILLE — A woman entered My Salon on State Street on Thursday, assaulted one of the employees and threw items around, causing some damage, according to village police.

Roxanne D. Miller, 26, River Road, was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and trespassing. She is ordered to appear in Village Court.

Police identified the assault victim as Tanya M. Dunn, 25.

Theresa woman accused

of having alcohol in car

ANTWERP — Jefferson County sheriff's deputies charged Stacy R. Higby, 26, of 40831 Route 37, Theresa, with having an open container of alcohol in a public place and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Ms. Higby was charged at 11:45 p.m. Friday on Main Street after deputies said she exited a vehicle with an open bottle of beer and walked to a public sidewalk with the bottle.

She was released without bail and is to face the charges in Village Court.

Fort Drum man accused

of being disorderly at bar

Edward M. Perez Jr., 22, of 10332 Fourth Armored Division Drive, Apt. 325B, Fort Drum, was charged by Watertown police with disorderly conduct at 12:49 a.m. Saturday.

Police said Mr. Perez aggressively approached the staff of Crazy Legs Saloon, 536 Arsenal St., with his fist raised to try to strike them. He is to face the charge in City Court.

Watertown man accused

of hitting another's face

George W. Verde, 50, of 554 Pearl St., was charged Thursday by Watertown police with third-degree assault and is due to appear in City Court.

Police said he is accused of punching Aaron J. Jewett, 39, of 25312 Ridge Road, in the face the night of Sept. 25 at the Hitchin' Post Tavern on Court Street. Mr. Jewett suffered a cut lip and loosened tooth, police said.

Watertown woman cited

with shoplifting at mall

State police charged Julia M. Robinson, 19, of 207 Wealtha Ave., with petit larceny Thursday evening at Burlington Coat Factory, Salmon Run Mall.

She is ordered to appear in town of Watertown Court to answer an allegation that she shoplifted an $83 pair of boots, police said.

Antwerp resident charged

with resisting his arrest

PHILADELPHIA — James D. Forney, 25, of 35238 Carpenter Road, Antwerp, was arrested by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 12:57 a.m. Saturday at 33080 Childs Road.

He was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was held on $200 bail, which was paid, and was released at 9:40 a.m.

Watertown woman cited

with shoplifting at Sears

Latonya R. Gadson, 35, Watertown, was charged by state police at 8:30 p.m. Friday with petit larceny.

Troopers said she put $64.63 worth of merchandise in a bag around 8 p.m. at Sears, Salmon Run Mall, and left without paying for it.

She is to face the charge in Watertown Town Court.

Police say woman had

man's stolen debit card

Dezirae N. Brooks, 20, of 1132 Boyd St., was charged by Watertown police at 5:40 Friday evening with single counts each of petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Police said Ms. Brooks had a debit card belonging to Raushawd A. Davenport, 207 S. Hamilton St., and tried to use the card at an automated teller machine.

Ms. Brooks is to face the charge in City Court.

Man, woman are charged

with violating court order

WEST CARTHAGE — Terry N. Elmore, 32, West Carthage, and Mercedes L. Palladino, 28, Carthage, each were charged by state police as a result of a domestic incident.

They both were charged with second-degree criminal contempt Friday afternoon; troopers said they violated an order of protection. They are to face the charges in Village Court.

Bad-check charge lodged

THERESA — Trever J. Tummons, 28, Theresa, was charged by state police at 10:39 a.m. Friday with issuing a bad check. Troopers said he wrote a check for $300 to David Donovan, Theresa, which was reported around 4:45 p.m. Aug. 3. Mr. Tummons is to face prosecution in Philadelphia Town Court.

Police say man hit wife,

kept her from leaving

Watertown police charged Robert D. Dusharm Jr., 45, of 131 W. Flower Ave., with second-degree unlawful imprisonment at 2:14 a.m. Sunday.

Police said Mr. Dusharm and his wife, Lori L. Dusharm, 44, had an argument and then Mr. Dusharm blocked her exit from the house by filling the doorway. He is accused of pushing and punching her every time she tried to leave and telling her she wasn't leaving the house.

Mr. Dusharm was held in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending arraignment later Sunday in Watertown Town Court.

Man accused of taking

tools, construction items

James T. Bain, 41, Watertown, was charged by state police at 5:28 p.m. Saturday with petit larceny stemming from an incident Saturday morning.

Troopers said he took tools, a ladder and other construction equipment, valued at $250, from Whispering Woods Apartments. He is to face the charge in Wilna Town Court.

Police say woman tried

to hit Evans Mills man

Ashley L. Parry, 21, of 73 Public Square, Apt. 3, was charged with disorderly conduct by Watertown police at 2:07 a.m. Sunday at tavern on Factory Street.

Police said she tried to punch Benjamin C. Huber, 26148 Mountain Lane, Evans Mills, in front of 10 to 15 people who were yelling and pointing at her. She yelled and waved her arms, causing people to jump out of her way, police said. A number of other people attempted to hold her to keep her from going after Mr. Huber, police said.

She is to face the charge in City Court.

Police: Watertown man

pushed down two teens

Patrick H. Campbell, 55, of 146 Haley St., was charged by Watertown police at 5:37 p.m. Saturday at his residence with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree harassment.

Police said that Mr. Cambell pushed a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy to the ground and that he tried to hit one and punched the other in the back of the head about 5:25 p.m. He is to face the charges in City Court.

Two people face charges

of disorderly conduct

Jacoby C. Smith, 19, of 305 Gotham St., Apt. 2, was charged by Watertown police with disorderly conduct at 3:36 a.m. Sunday outside a business at 345 Factory St.

Police said he yelled and aggressively approached two officers, jumping and raising his hands toward them in front of an agitated crowd of six to 10 people.

Officers also charged Jayne L. Anderson, 22, of 21 Maywood Terrace, with disorderly conduct after she allegedly yelled and tried to fight with people in the parking lot outside the same Factory Street location at 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

She was held on $100 police bail, which she paid, and was released.

Both will face charges in City Court.

Man charged on warrant

over theft of automobile

Watertown police charged Brian A. Bouyer, 21, of 651 Olive St., Apt. 4, on a warrant relating to the theft of an automobile.

He was arrested around 1:17 a.m. Sunday at 168 Sterling St. and charged with third-degree attempted grand larceny and third-degree automobile stripping.

He was held pending arraignment Sunday in Watertown Town Court.

Petit larceny is alleged

Comfort A. Walker, 23, Watertown, was charged by state police at 7:20 p.m. Saturday with petit larceny. She is accused of taking a pair of shoes valued at $64.99 from Sears, Salmon Run Mall, and is to face the charge in Watertown Town Court.
