Here is a list of the groups and individuals that backed a candidate in the 23rd Congressional District race in the past 10 days:
Douglas L. Hoffman, Conservative Party candidate.
■ Citizens for the Republic political action committee, Alexandria, Va., which supports conservative candidates who uphold former President Ronald Reagan's principles of limited government, maximum freedom and personal responsibility.
Diana L. Banister, president, said the committee will raise funds for Mr. Hoffman.
■ Citizens United Political Victory Fund, Washington, D.C., which supports candidates who believe in smaller government, lower taxes, spending cuts and traditional family values.
The fund made $264,139 in contributions during the 2008 election cycle; all endorsed candidates received $1,000 to $5,000 for their campaigns, according to the group's Web site.
■ Gary L. Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, a "pro-family," anti-abortion group.
■ The political action committee of the Family Research Council, Washington, D.C., which supports "pro-family" candidates.
Thomas E. McClusky, the PAC's senior vice president, said the group will send money to Mr. Hoffman.
■ The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, Washington, D.C., which supports "pro-life female candidates, as well as pro-life male candidates who run against female candidates in favor of abortion rights."
The group has encouraged its members to donate directly to Mr. Hoffman's campaign.
■ The political action committee of New York State Right to Life, Albany.
■ The political action committee of Government is Not God, Washington, D.C., which is self-described as "the nation's oldest political action committee for social conservatives."
Dierdre K. Scozzafava, Republican and Independence party candidate:
■ The National Rifle Association's "political victory" fund. Ms. Scozzafava earned an "A" rating from the fund based on her voting record and the responses to the group's candidate questionnaire.
■ Assemblymen William A. Barclay, R-Pulaski, David R. Townsend Jr., R-Kirkland, and Robert C. Oaks, R-Macedon.
■ The political action committee of the Republican Main Street Partnership, Washington, D.C., which supports fiscally conservative candidates who hold moderate positions on social issues.
■ The Central New York Community Action Planning Council, Region 9 of the United Auto Workers, East Syracuse.
■ Plattsburgh-Saranac Lake Building and Construction Trades Council, which represents 16 local unions in Essex, Clinton and Franklin counties.
