Police say woman stole

horse, gear worth $6,000

MADRID — A Madrid woman is accusing of stealing a horse and related equipment totaling about $6,000.

Alyssa R. Hicks, 31, of 2408 Route 345, was charged Friday with third-degree grand larceny, state police said. She reportedly told troopers she sold the horse, a pen, fencing and a water trough to an unknown Watertown man.

The horse and equipment were supposed to be turned over to another person, but he found them missing when he arrived to collect them, troopers said.

Ms. Hicks was arraigned in Town Court and released on her own recognizance.

Man charged with giving

marijuana to 15-year-old

WADDINGTON — A Chase Mills man is accused of providing a small amount of marijuana Oct. 3 to a 15-year-old boy.

Chad E. Lawrence, 22, was charged Friday with fifth-degree criminal sale of marijuana and child endangerment, state police said. He was issued appearance tickets for Town Court.

Man accused of menacing

POTSDAM — Axton L. Parker, 25, Potsdam, was charged Saturday with second-degree menacing for allegedly threatening to hit a roommate with a fire extinguisher, village police said. He was arraigned in Village Court and released on his recognizance.

Pair accused of allowing

minors to drink at home

Watertown police charged two people at 4 a.m. Saturday with allowing underage drinking at their Pearl Street residence.

Charged with unlawfully dealing with a child were Samantha F. Nunez, 18, and Jordan R.J. Hines, 21, both of 572 Pearl St., Apt. 5.

Corey M. Smith, 18, of 957 Kieff Drive, was charged with underage possession of alcohol at the residence.

In a separate incident, police on Friday charged Ms. Nunez with fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegedly using a pair of scissors to scratch the hood of a 1999 Acura Integra owned by Karen S. Jarvis at 688 Huntington St.

Watertown teen charged

over use of other's vehicle

Watertown police early Saturday arrested Corey R. Smith, 19, of 845 Starbuck Ave., Apt. 1502, on a warrant alleging third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle.

He was arraigned before Watertown Town Judge Andrew N. Capone and sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $500 bail.

The arrest stems from an alleged incident on July 19 at 119 W. Lynde St., but no further information was provided in the police report.

Watertown man accused

of writing 3 bad checks

REDWOOD — State police on Saturday charged Eduardo E. Delgado, 26, Watertown, with three counts of issuing a bad check.

Mr. Delgado in late August allegedly wrote three bad checks totaling $168.88 to Crossroads Grocery & Deli, Route 37. He is to appear in Alexandria Town Court.

Police say Lowville man

made threatening calls

LOWVILLE — Village police on Friday charged Ryan C. Ouellette, 24, of 7515 S. State St., with second-degree aggravated harassment.

Mr. Ouellette allegedly made several threatening telephone calls to another village man, whom police did not identify. He is to appear in Village Court.
