after fight with brother
GOUVERNEUR — Village police on Saturday charged Justin A. Aldridge, 19, of 72 Bullard St., with second-degree harassment, fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and disorderly conduct.
He allegedly punched and slapped his brother, Allen, in the head and punched a computer at the residence. He was arraigned in Gouverneur Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
Woman accused of lying
on workers' comp claim
WEST STOCKHOLM — A Potsdam woman is accused of falsifying a workers' compensation application by not reporting some income.
Joan M. Gokey, 54, of 548 Old Market Road, was charged Saturday with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a felony, state police said. She was issued an appearance ticket for Stockholm Town Court.
Three accused of stealing
$100 in coins at car wash
State police charged three Pulaski youths with stealing $100 worth of coins Aug. 5 from Precision Car Wash on Route 11 in the town of Watertown.
Charged with third-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny were Nicholas A. Peschler, 20, and Joshua R. Porter and Robert R. Austin, both 18.
Mr. Peschler was picked up Tuesday and given an appearance ticket for Watertown Town Court, police said. Mr. Porter and Mr. Austin, who were both being held at Oswego County jail, Oswego, on unrelated charges, were arrested Saturday, arraigned in Watertown Town Court and sent back to jail, police said. Bail amounts were not available.
Watertown man arrested
after domestic disputes
Watertown police on Saturday charged Leonard J. Ballenger, 35, of 203 St. Mary St., with second-degree harassment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Mr. Ballenger on Saturday afternoon allegedly grabbed Ashley Newton by the hair in front of four children at his residence. Then, a couple of hours later, he again argued with Ms. Newton, this time in the presence of five children, police said.
He was arrested Saturday evening at 633 Mill St. and taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building for processing. He is to appear in City Court.
Two women are accused
of causing ruckus in city
Watertown police shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday charged two women with disorderly conduct in the 300 block of North Rutland Street.
Charged were Danielle L. Graves, 25, of 40 John St., Apt. 2, Gouverneur, and Hanna R. Rogers, 25, of 806 Burchard St., Apt. 6, Watertown.
Ms. Graves and Ms. Rogers allegedly yelled loudly and waved their arms toward three nearby men after being told by officers several times to quiet down and leave the area. They are to appear in City Court.
Teen accused of providing
alcohol to a 15-year-old
NEW BREMEN — Lewis County sheriff's deputies on Saturday charged Tyler K. Thomas, 18, of 7515 S. State St., Lowville, with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.
Mr. Thomas allegedly provided alcohol to a 15-year-old at a party on Auctor Road in the town of New Bremen, then later was involved in a fight with the youth. He is to appear in New Bremen Town Court.

breaking ceramic bowls
Watertown police on Saturday charged Michael G. Demay, 50, of 621 N. Hycliff Drive, with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Mr. Demay allegedly broke two ceramic bowls by throwing them at a door during a domestic dispute. He is to appear in City Court.
Teen accused of keying
car rented by other man
Watertown police on Saturday charged Jerry C. Lambert, 17, of 821 Boyd St., with second-degree criminal mischief.
Mr. Lambert on Aug. 19 at 234 Coffeen St. allegedly keyed a car being rented by Joshua C. Steele, causing $1,505.40 in damage. He is to appear in City Court.
