Hoffman best choice

I am writing to support Doug Hoffman for Congress. Doug is a very well-respected member of our community. Coming from a humble background, Doug became a successful businessman employing 35 people. His education and experience in accounting are desperately needed in Washington today. Doug has played an active leadership role in our community donating time and energy to his church, various civic organizations and nonprofits throughout our region.

As we get closer to Election Day, we need to ask ourselves a few simple questions: Which candidate understands the issues I care about? Which candidate reflects my values? Which candidate will best serve my community?

Polls have shown that as voters learn more about each candidate, the choice has become more clear. Dede Scozzafava's campaign is collapsing, and high-power fundraisers in New York City are propping up Bill Owens. But it is Doug who is now surging in the polls. The more we know about each candidate, the clearer it is that the best choice for Congress is Doug Hoffman.

There are a number of reasons to vote for him, but the most important reason I support him can be summed up in one word: honesty. He is an honorable man who is willing to tell it like it is.

That is a quality we can surely use in Washington, and that it a quality we in the north country can provide by supporting Doug Hoffman for Congress.
