Hunter shot in accident still in critical condition

A Norwood hunter who was shot Thursday remained in critical condition Saturday at Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt.
Bernard H. Sharlow, 38, was shot in the abdomen while hunting near Dayton Road. State police charged Ricky A. Brunelle, 43, Ellenburg Depot, with second-degree assault.
Mr. Brunelle told troopers he was about 50 yards from Mr. Sharlow when he shot a muzzleloader at what he thought was a deer.
