Watertown man jailed
after scuffle at residence
William C. Queal, Jr., 38, 130 Court St., Apt. 301, was arrested by Watertown police about 3:39 a.m. Saturday at 830 Washington St.
Police said Mr. Queal entered the home of Scott C. and Rhonda Thomas, 416 Stone St., without permission. Mr. Thomas was physically struggling with Mr. Queal, trying to get him to leave, when Mr. Queal picked up a chair leg on the back porch and swung it at Mr. Thomas.
Mr. Queal was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. He was arraigned Saturday before Judge James P. McClusky in Town Court and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony. He was held on $500 cash bail.
Police say Watertown pair
lied about their identity
Winston C. Brierley, 22, and Dorian Kam Porter, 20, both of 215 Wealtha Ave. Apt. B, were arrested by Watertown police at 11:46 p.m. Friday and at 12:29 a.m. Saturday, respectively, at their home and charged with second-degree criminal impersonation.
The charges stemmed from an earlier incident in which the men presented false identification while being investigated for possession of marijuana about 12:41 a.m. Friday at Fat Boys bar, 743 Huntington St., police said. Both men admitted to falsely identifying themselves to officers.
Mr. Brierley was also charged with issuing a bad check in relation to an outstanding bench warrant, and with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was arraigned at 11 a.m. Saturday before Judge James P. McClusky.
He was issued an appearance ticket on the marijuana charge and held on the other charges on $750 bail. He is to appear Thursday in City Court.
Mr. Porter was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and first-degree unlawful dealing with a child for hosting a party at his residence where alcohol and marijuana were provided to minors. He was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building.
He was arraigned Saturday before Judge McClusky and held on $100 bail. He is to appear Monday in City Court.
Watertown woman faces
criminal mischief charge
Gabrelle J. Gehring, 19, of 201 Sterling St., Apt. 3, was charged Saturday by Watertown police with second-degree criminal mischief.
Police said on Saturday she took Jerry C. Lambert to a car rented by Joshua C. Steele at 234 Coffeen St. and gave Mr. Lambert a key to scratch the paint. When Mr. Lambert's first try didn't cause damage, Ms. Gehring told him to try again. The 2009 Pontiac G6 had $1,505 in damage.
Ms. Gehring was arraigned Sunday before Judge James P. McClusky in Town Court and released on $500 cash bail.
Police say Fort Drum man
left children home alone
Esquilin R. Burgos, 21, of 20332 Bagram Road, Fort Drum, was arrested by Watertown police at 3:44 a.m. Sunday and charged with two counts of child endangerment.
Police said Mr. Burgos on Friday left two children, a 17-month-old and a 5-year-old, locked in a house at 253 N. Rutland St. without supervision for about 20 minutes. Mr. Burgos was taken to the Public Safety Building and released to military police. He is to appear in City Court.
