LOWVILLE — A Boonville man was sentenced in Lewis County Court on Friday to one year in county jail on a driving while intoxicated charge.
Darin L. Hirschey,30, of 209 Erwin St., was additionally sentenced to an 18-month driver's license revocation and $520 in court fees on a charge of felony aggravated DWI, to which he pleaded guilty Oct. 9. He was stopped July 25 on Blue Street in Glenfield.
Also in Lewis County Court on Friday:
Willis D. Mitchell,26, Rochester, was sentenced to five years' probation, forfeiture of assets seized during his arrest and $375 in court fees on a charge of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, to which he pleaded guilty March 20. Mr. Mitchell was charged with possessing cocaine Sept. 1, 2008, at the moe.down music festival in Turin.
Paul V. DiMaria,23, Bantam, Conn., pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. Sentencing was set for Dec. 11. Mr. DiMaria was accused of selling Ecstasy on Sept. 6 at this year's moe.down.
Robert F. Dehart,42, Westernville, pleaded guilty to felony DWI and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, also satisfying a charge of failure to stop for a stop sign. Sentencing was set for Nov. 20. Mr. Dehart was stopped July 26 on Odett Road in the town of Greig after damaging the fence and lawn at the Kathy Rubar residence.
Terry L. Baron,53, address listed as Lewis County jail, was arraigned on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender and pleaded guilty. Sentencing was set for Nov. 13.
Brian R. VanDusen,26, of 18555 County Route 69, Adams, was arraigned on a charge of felony DWI and pleaded innocent. His case was adjourned to Nov. 6. Mr. VanDusen was stopped May 7 on Route 12 in the town of Denmark.
Hiram J. Jimenez,55, Syracuse, had his case of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding adjourned to Nov. 20. Mr. Jimenez was stopped May 9 on Route 3 in the town of Diana.
Kevin R. Bailey,39, Coeymens, had his case of fifth-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance adjourned to Dec. 4. Mr. Bailey was accused of selling Ecstasy on Sept. 4 at moe.down.
William F. White,35, Ithaca, had his case of two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance and a single count of first-degree promoting prison contraband adjourned to Dec. 4. Mr. White was accused of selling LSD on Sept. 6 at moe.down and with possessing the drug Sept. 8 in Lewis County jail.
Patrick VanGoethem,25, Philadelphia, Pa., had his case of third-, fifth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and possession of controlled substances outside the original container adjourned to Dec. 4. Mr. VanGoethem was accused of possessing cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, Endocet and 2.5 ounces of marijuana Sept. 4 at moe.down.
