BEAVER FALLS — A Beaver River Central School teacher is in the midst of a 10-day curriculum development trip to Kenya.

Biology teacher Michelle Watkins is part of a five-member team, also including a fellow teacher from Honeoye Falls and officials from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and Cornell University, that is taking the trip.

The project, funded by the National Science Foundation, is intended to build partnerships with research and biodiversity conservation efforts in central Kenya to provide opportunities for students to consider real-world problems.
