■ OGDENSBURG — Friends of the Ogdensburg Public Library will hold its annual fall book sale Thursday to Nov. 8 in the library auditorium. The sale will include magazines, DVDs, VHS tapes and audio tapes. Call the library at 393-4325 for more information or to donate items.

■ NORFOLK — There will be a public hearing at 6 p.m. Nov. 9 on the town's preliminary budget and an informational presentation about drilling test wells for the town's water project at 6:30 the same night. Both will take place before the regular Town Council meeting at town hall.
