Taxpayers of Macomb cannot afford increases

Taxes, taxes, taxes. It's that time of year again. Taxpayers of the town of Macomb, were you happy with the 50-plus percent increase in January 2009 taxes?

If not, attend the budget meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Macomb town buildings.

We must participate in what our town spends before it passes the budget, not after.

Taxpayers cannot afford to take the pending increases in costs for running the town. We, as taxpayers, can affect change, but we need to show up and participate and give our input.
