As regards to the upcoming elections in Cape Vincent, I take no stand in writing this letter to the editor regarding the endorsement of any of the candidates.

Never, in my recollection, have I ever witnessed so many people divided as is very apparent in this upcoming election.

Regardless of who wins the election, we should all pledge to stand behind the winners and bury the hatchets that have been apparent for so long. Voters should remember, "united we stand, divided we fall."

If this dissension continues, everyone will lose, one way or another.

Remember the old adage from the great philosopher, Derf Yeliw, "You can't tell the depth of the well by the length of handle on the pump." Think about it.
