Police cite several people with DWI

The following people were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:

■ Maggie K. Webb, 18, of 120 Grove St., Dexter, was stopped by Watertown city police at 3 a.m. Saturday in Public Square. Police said her blood alcohol content was 0.14 percent, which exceeds the state's 0.08 percent threshold for intoxication. She also was charged with speeding.

■ William O. Monica, 43, of 131 Cedar St., was stopped by city police for failure to keep right at 1:36 a.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Arsenal Street, police said. His BAC was 0.14 percent, they said.

■ Michael T. Mitchell, 22, of 433 Highcliff Drive, Apt. 627C, was stopped by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies Saturday on North Meadow Street. His BAC was 0.17 percent, deputies said. He also was charged with failure to signal and making an inproper turn. He has a previous DWI conviction from July 2007 in the town of Oswegatchie.

■ Precious C. Atkinson, 21, of 535 Olive St., was stopped by city police at 2:50 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of Bellew Avenue. Police said she refused to submit a blood alcohol test. She also was cited with driving without a license and improper taillights.

■ Jesse J. McConnell, 24, Adams Center, was stopped by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies at 2:08 a.m. Saturday on Route 3 in the town of LeRay. His BAC was 0.10 percent, police said. He also was charged with driving without a license, failure to keep right and driving across hazard markings.

■ Cory A. Chant, 24, Theresa, was stopped by state police at 1:45 a.m. Sunday on Elm Ridge Road in the town of Theresa. He also was charged with failure to use designated lane. His BAC was not provided by police.

■ Gregory H. Joyce, 24, Lansdowne, Ontario, was stopped by state police at 4:22 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 81 in the town of Orleans. His BAC was not provided.

■ Joseph M. Wormwood, 22, Great Bend, was pulled over by state police at 1:12 a.m. Sunday on Route 3 in the town of Champion. He also was charged with insufficient taillamps. Police did not provide his BAC.

■ Brian M. Allen, 28, of 1214 Old Market Road, Norwood, also was charged with inadequate exhaust Saturday night, according to state police. He was stopped on Morgan Street in Norwood and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .09 percent, troopers said.
