Jon Stewart of "The Daily Show" took on the 23rd Congressional District race last night, in a three-minute bit that mostly took the national cable news shows to task for their manner of reporting this race.

Mr. Stewart also took a swipe at Republican Dede Scozzafava's pink suit jacket - using a Web clip uploaded by Newzjunky - and Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman for a ho-hum interview with Glenn Beck. (In Mr. Hoffman's defense, the delay hurt the rhythm terribly in that particular interview.)

The host also mentions our paper's coverage - albeit, without saying our name - when discussing Mr. Hoffman's alleged lack of knowledge on local issues.

Mr. Stewart's bit ends with a very funny punchline about Ms. Scozzafava's decision to throw her support to Bill Owens, the Democrats' candidate: "You know why? We have a little saying up in Plattsburgh: Nobody puts Scozzafava in a corner."

Here's the segment. If you don't care about the New Jersey governor's race, skip to about five minutes in.
