TAUNY will host artisans in open-studio program

CANTON — Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, 53 Main St., will participate in the St. Lawrence County Arts Council's open studio tours from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

North Country Folkstore Manager Jody Tosti will welcome woodcarver Robert LaCroix; Lynn C. Ekfelt, folklorist and editor of TAUNY's "Good Food Served Right," and knitter Sarah J. Crotty from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

They will be the first in a series of featured artists who will visit TAUNY on Saturdays during November and December to talk about and show their work.
