Republican Robert D. Ferris will fill the Jefferson County Legislature District 11 seat being vacated by incumbent Robert A. Boice. He won election over Democrat Paul A. Simmons, 907 to 886. District 11 includes the towns of Rutland and Watertown.

The incumbents seem likely to keep their posts in the remaining three contested races.

Democrat James D. St. Croix beat Republican Anthony J. Doldo 524 to 445 in District 15 with 100 percent of the vote counted; Republican Michael W. Behling bested Democrat Pat A. Storino 1,232 to 618 in District 10, with all votes counted.

In the District 6 race, Republican Gino M. Zando looks likely to keep his seat. With 83 percent of the vote counted at 10:57 p.m., he was leading over Democratic challenger Gary P. Trombley 509 to 333.
