St. Croix leading Doldo for Legislative seat

In one of four contested races for seats in the Jefferson County Legislature, incumbent James D. St. Croix is leading over challenger Anthony J. Doldo.

With 80 percent of the vote counted by 10:30 p.m. in the race for District 15, Mr. St. Croix, running on the Democratic and Independence party lines, had 368 votes, and Mr. Doldo, running on the Republican line, had 283.

Results from one voting district remain to be counted.
