Beverly M. Allen

MASSENA — Ms. Beverly M. "Aunt Bev" Allen, 78, of 85 North Main Street, peacefully passed away early Sunday morning, November 1, 2009.

She was born September 1, 1931 in Massena, the daughter of Henry and Marie Thebert Allen. She graduated from Massena High School in 1949 and later attended Plattsburgh School of Nursing.

Aunt Bev worked as a foreman in the pot rooms at Alcoa for many years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Alcoa 25 year Club and a former member of the Massena Country Club, where she was a former club champion.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Catholic Church at one time. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bingo, sewing, baking, and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Lucille and Ethel; and 7 brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Norman, Carman, Myram, Roger, and John "Jack"; and a close family member, Ed Flavin.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.
