More town, village election results released in St. Lawrence County

The results of several St. Lawrence County contested town and village races that were unavailable on election night have been released by the Board of Elections. The results below were delayed by technical difficulties at polling places.

Towns

Fine: Council seats went to Philip F. Giardino and Vickie E. Davenport, who received 243 and 186 votes, respectively. Michelle F. Durham received 149 votes and Mark P. Glendenning received 87.

Gouverneur: Council seats went to Harold E. Lacy and Eldon B. Conklin. They received 611 and 547 votes, respectively. Other candidates were Steven D. Jackson with 282 votes, Ron Blair with 216 and Dwayne Martin with 135.

Pierrepont: Carmen F. Casolara and Tom Latimer captured council seats, receiving 550 and 413 votes, respectively. They defeated Philip Wagner, who received 269.

Potsdam: Two incumbents were re-elected to fill town council seats: Michael Zagrobelny had 1,158 votes and Judith Rich had 1,158. They defeated Daniel Parker with 897 votes, Tracey E. Haggett-Sloan with 614, and Oliver Mackey with 606.

Stockholm: Clark S. Decker had 457 votes and Robert J. McCuin had 420 to win council seats. They defeated Melinda Douglas, who received 377 votes.

Villages

Canton: In the three-way race for two trustee seats, incumbent Sylvia Kingston received 678 votes, followed by Joseph Frank with 584. They defeated incumbent Debra Mousaw, who had 516.

Gouverneur: Carl A. Petitto and Roger A. Lapierre won trustee seats with 384 and 312 votes, respectively. They defeated incumbent Michael Bartholomew, who had 255 votes.

Results of races in the towns of Clare, Colton, Edwards, Fowler, Lawrence and two Massena districts will not be available until election inspectors can determine why voting machines in those districts malfunctioned.
