Clarkson taps John Brilbeck for Board of Trustees seat

POTSDAM — John M. Brilbeck has been elected to the Clarkson University board of trustees. The Syracuse native earned his bachelor's degree from Clarkson in 1968.

Mr. Brilbeck worked at the Carrier Corp. after graduation and earned his master's of business administration degree from Syracuse University in 1971.

He was president and owner of Southern Heat Exchanger Corp., Tuscaloosa, Ala., where he worked for 19 years until his retirement in 2000. He is a past president of the Tubular Exchangers Manufacturing Association.

Mr. Brilbeck was on the president's cabinet and national advisory committee for the University of Alabama.

He has been a member of the boards of directors for numerous colleges and private businesses.

Mr. Brilbeck resides with his wife, Pamela, in Naples, Fla.
