A Watertown man was arraigned Thursday in Jefferson County Court on charges that he had and sold cocaine on three occasions.

Christopher P. Kubis,28, of 1000 Erie St., faces four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and single counts of second- and seventh-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

The charges were contained in a grand jury indictment unsealed in court. It is alleged that he had and sold cocaine in late July and twice more in mid-August. It further is alleged that he possessed the drug in early September.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges at arraignment and was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $15,000 bail.

Also arraigned on a sealed indictment wasCharles W. Camidge,40, address not confirmed, who is charged with first-degree criminal sexual act. It is alleged that he engaged in forcible sexual conduct with a 19-year-old woman on Aug. 20.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was sent to the PSB on $2,500 bail.

In other court activity Thursday:

Patricia L. Oatridge,42, Lorraine, was referred to Drug Court after pleading guilty to felony driving while intoxicated and admitting to a probation violation. She was charged with DWI on Aug. 22 on County Route 96 in the town of Worth after fleeing from state troopers. At the time she was serving a sentence of five years' probation imposed in January 2007 in Lewis County Court for a felony DWI conviction.

Clayton T. Fleming,31, Felts Mills, pleaded guilty to felony DWI and was referred to Drug Court. He had been accused of driving drunk June 27 at Westcott Beach State Park in the town of Henderson.

In court activity Wednesday:

Joseph C. Fecht,32, Altmar, pleaded guilty to petit larceny. Sentencing was set for Jan. 8. He was accused, along with Matthew J. Hale, 28, Syracuse, of stealing more than $1,000 worth of iPods on June 26, 2008, from Walmart in the town of Watertown.

Mr. Hale was indicted by a grand jury in early October on charges of fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the alleged thefts. A state police investigator said at the time of the incident that store surveillance video footage helped identify the suspects.

In other court activity,Marcus A. Garcia,22, Fort Drum, pleaded guilty to felony DWI. Sentencing was set for Dec. 4.

He pleaded guilty using a partial Alford plea, meaning he did not admit to all of the underlying facts in the case, but was pleading guilty to avoid a possible stiffer sentence if convicted at trial. He admitted he had been drinking several hours before his vehicle was halted Aug. 22 on Arsenal Street for making an illegal U-turn.

The charge was a felony because he had been convicted of misdemeanor DWI nine days before in Champion Town Court.
