Mildred B. Clark, 86, formerly of Hungerford Ave., died Wednesday, November 4th at Samaritan-Keep Home, Watertown where she had been a resident for 2 years. Prior to that, she lived at Angels Inn, Watertown, for 4 years.

Funeral service will be on Sunday, November 8th at 2:30 pm at the Adams United Methodist Church in Adams with Rev. Mona Fargo officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan, NY at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Saturday, November 7th from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Piddock Funeral Home in Adams.

Millie was born, Mildred Buckle, on July 19, 1923 to Charles and Gwen Lewis Buckle in the town of Benton, Yates County. She attended Benton #9 grade school and graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1938. Millie worked for Leon Swing for 10 years as bookkeeper and Geneva National Bank for 1 year. She married Clyde A. Clark on December 1, 1951 at the home of her parents. The couple lived in Penn Yan, Dansville, Ontario and Churchville. They moved to Adams in 1960. Millie was a day care provider and worked for Montgomery Ward in Adams. For 15 years she worked in the dentist office of Dr. John E. Richmond, Adams. She and her husband retired in 1985 and spent winters in Zephyrhills, Florida. Mr. Clark died on December 6, 1999.

Mrs. Clark was a member of the Adams United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for several years. She was a 4-H leader and worked with the Girl Scouts both in Adams and in Penn Yan. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving are a son Richard S. a daughter-in-law Elaine (Sullivan) Clark both of Herndon, Virginia, a daughter and her husband Nancy and Kenneth Murphy, Adams, 2 grandchildren, Gregory S. Clark, Centerville Va. and Megan S. Clark, Herndon, a brother-in-law, Oscar Young, Ohio, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
