Mr. & Mrs. W. Megan -- 50 years

ALEXANDRIA BAY — Mr. and Mrs. William Megan, 4 Crestwood Drive, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in September with a family gathering.

Mr. Megan, son of William, Redwood, and the late Elizabeth Megan, married JoAnn Slocum, daughter of the late Ruth and Grover Slocum, Sept. 12, 1959, at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Henry W. McFadden officiating.

Mr. Megan was employed by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Syracuse, for 41 years and is employed at the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority, Alexandria Bay.

The couple has three children, Ronald Megan, Alexandria Bay, Tracy Beketic, Chicago, and Cynthia Megan, Alexandria Bay, and eight grandchildren.
