Several swine flu clinics scheduled in Lewis County

LOWVILLE — The Lewis County Public Health Agency has scheduled several H1N1 flu clinics over the next few weeks.

Clinics will be held Monday at the Harrisville Central School cafeteria, Thursday at the Lowville Academy and Central School cafeteria, Nov. 16 at the South Lewis high school cafeteria in Turin and Nov. 23 at the Copenhagen Central School cafeteria. All clinics will be from 5 to 7 p.m.

The county's first clinic was Wednesday at Beaver River Central School, Beaver Falls.

The vaccines, offered free of charge, initially will be given only to people in the following groups: pregnant women, those who live with or care for infants less than 6 months old, those between the ages of 6 months and 24 years, adults between the ages of 25 and 64 with underlying medical conditions and health care or emergency services personnel.
