Jeffrey A. Murtha 46, Willowbrook Dr. Watertown passed away late Wednesday evening.

Jeff was born on February 4, 1963 in Watertown. The son of James C. and Rickey F. Singleton Murtha.

He graduated from General Brown Central School in 1981. He entered the Air force after graduation and was discharged in 1986. He graduated from JCC in 1987. He was currently taking computer classes at JCC at the time of his death. He worked for the Fiber Mark paper co. for 17 years. He then went to work for The New York Airbrake where he worked as a machinist.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He married Frances A. Pecori of Limerick on September 27, 1991, at The Immaculate Conception Church in Brownville with Rev. Robert Lawler officiating.

He is survived by his wife Frances; a son, Nicholas J., at home; a daughter, Ashley N., at home; his mother and father, James C. and Rickey F.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, James and Kelly, Theresa, Joseph, town of Rutland, and John and Pamela, Black River; a sister, Deborah Murtha, Watertown; a sister-in-law, Lisa M. Pecori, Watertown; two brothers-in-law, Henry Pecori, Limerick, and Andrew Pecori, Syracuse; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Mimma Pecori, Limerick; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.

A funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning with Rev. Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery, Watertown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an education fund for his children, care of Lisa M. Pecori, 17843 Allen Road, Watertown, NY 13601.
