HAMDEN, Conn. — Quinnipiac scored three power-play goals and pulled away to beat St. Lawrence, 5-2, in an a men's ECAC Hockey game Saturday.

Bobcats goalie Dan Clarke made 27 saves to complete a personal weekend sweep. Quinnpiac beat Clarkson, 4-2, with Clarke in net on Friday.

The Bobcats converted 60 percent of their power-play opportunities and successfully killed 12 of 13 penalties.

While the Saints outshot the Bobcats in the first period and had four power play chances, including a five-minute major, Quinnpiac scored the lone goal at 10 minutes, 31 seconds of the first.

Jeremy Langlois picked off a Saints' clearing attempt and sent the puck to Greg Holt, who then found senior Brandon Wong all alone in front of Saints goalie Robby Moss. Wong snapped his fourth goal of the season into the upper corner of the net for the early lead on a Quinnipiac power play.

Freshman defenseman Zach Currie made it 2-0 at 1:40 of the second as he went end-to-end and banked a shot into the net over Moss's shoulder and off the crossbar for his first collegiate goal.

Yuri Bouharevich got it to 3-0 at 14:19 when he tapped in a rebound after Moss couldn't control the puck on Scott Zurevinski's shot.

Reese Rolheiser scored off a Saints turnover deep in their own end at 17:22, snapping a shot into the upper right hand corner from a tough angle.

The Saints finally ended the four-goal unanswered streak with a score at 18:28 of the second. George Hughes found Mark Armstrong for the score. It was Armstrong's second of the season.

Eric Lampe answered a minute later to put Quinnipiac up 5-1. Wong assisted.

St. Lawrence scored the only goal of the third period, finally cracking its long power-play drought as Brandon Bollig pounced on a rebound after Clarke stopped the initial shot by Alex Curran. It was Bollig's second of the year and came at 16:49 of the third.

SLU's Kain Tisi made four saves in net in the third period before being pulled for the final 2:33. Moss stopped 13 shots and allowed all five goals.

St. Lawrence (5-3-1, 1-1) returns home next weekend for a series against Rensselaer and Union.
