NORWOOD — A memorial service for Marion B. Colbert, 94, a resident of the St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Ogdensburg, formerly of Lisbon and Norwood, will be held Saturday at noon at the Daily Ridge Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Mike Sedor and Deacon Pat Lavine officiating. Burial will be in Daily Ridge Cemetery, town of Potsdam.
Calling hours and burial will be private. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mrs. Colbert died Tuesday (Nov. 10, 2009) at the nursing home.
Surviving are two sons, Allen and Kay Colbert of Norwood and Kenneth Colbert of Canandaigua; two daughters, Mrs. Al (Joanne) Fisher of Colton and Mrs. Charles (Carol) Coons of Lisbon; 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by a twin brother, Roy Owens, and an infant sister.
Born in Richville, New York on November 10, 1915, daughter of Allen and Ada Sanpier Owens, she married Malcolm "Pat" Colbert on Dec. 6, 1934. He died in January 1970.
She was a homemaker. She was a past member of the Congregational Church in Norwood and a past member of St. Phillips Episcopal Church in Norwood. She is a current member of the Daily Ridge Presbyterian Church.
Donations may be made to the Activity Fund at St. Josephs Nursing Home or the Potsdam Humane Society.
